I’m currently living in Chengdu, China. The capital of Sichuan province, where the food is spicy and the adventure is plentiful. As I learn more about this intriguing country, I will be posting it here. My initial thoughts on living in China: it’s not what I expected at all. China is truly one of the more unique places I’ve visited and it’s hard to really ‘get’ the country unless you come see it for yourself. I’ve barely scratched the surface, and I think I’ve got a lot of digging to do. Stay tuned.

The Taoist religion goes back – way way back. No one really knows for sure when it was created, but it’s thought to have developed from prehistoric folk religions in China. Worldwide it isn’t that popular, but in China about 30% of people practice the religion.
